Colts, Saints Remain Undefeated
Drew Brees threw for 419 yards and two scores as New Orleans avoided a letdown coming off their biggest win as franchise last Monday against New England defeating the Washington Redskins 33-30 in overtime. The Redskins twice blew 10 point leads and saw their kicker Shaun Suisham miss a 23 yard field goal that would of iced the game with under a minute and half to play. New Saints kicker Garret Hartley booted an 18 yard field goal 6:29 into the overtime period to seal the win for New Orleans moving their record to 12-0. The other undefeated team, the Indianapolis Colts remained that way after handling the surging Tennessee Titans 27-17. The Colts never trailed in the game taking an early 7-0 lead behind the efficient play of Peyton Manning who went 24-37 and 270 yards and a score while Joseph Addai led the Colts rushing attack with 79 yards on the ground and 2 touchdowns.
In other action on Sunday the Pittsburgh Steelers gave up 21 points in the 4th quarter falling to the lowly Oakland Raiders 27-24. Other winners were Cincinnati , Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle, Chicago, Miami, New York, Jacksonville, Denver and Carolina. Monday night's match-up sees the 6-5 Baltimore Ravens at the 7-4 Green Bay Packers in game that has major playoff implications for both teams.
