Senator's Collins and Wyden Offer Joint Amendments To Health Bill
Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) have come together in a bipartisan manner and are proposing 3 amendments that would allow consumers to actually have choice when purchasing health insurance.
Anecdotally, what would happen is that instead of employers choosing a plan for you, your employer would present you with a variety of options from the newly created insurance exchanges that you could then choose the best option for you. The language of the bill hasn't been seen yet, but this is a promising bipartisan attempt at compromise.
