A police officer was caught on tape kicking a man repeatedly while he was on the ground in Victoria B.C., after they were called to break up a fight.  The tape shows nothing of the fight, but police are now in a position of having to investigate themselves once again for what appears to be an excessive use of force.

This incident will be sure to renew calls for independent enquiries when it comes to police brutality, as it piles on top of a slew of other incidents where police have either killed or severely hurt suspects.
