Animal Kingdom is an Australian film about a boy who's mother OD's leaving him an orphan to be raised by a family of extremely dangerous criminals.  It is the story of how a detective tries to connect with a boy lost in a violent world, to help him take down his adopted family.  Written and directed by David Michod and starring Guy Pierce, it looks like an excellent thriller.
