All we can tell you about this movie is that the trailer is reminiscent of such alien disaster movies like Independence Day, or the newer Cloverfield type of alien attack.  The people appearing in the trailer, Lawrence O'Donnell and Dan Rather, are reporters/political operatives from the real world and not a part of the regular cast for the film and a quick check of IMDB reveals that I don't know who anyone else is in the movie other than the Strause brothers who directed the film.
